Rava Kesari is a popular sweet item in the south india.It is very easy to prepare quickly.
Ingredients :
Rava - 1 cup
Sugar - 2 cups
Ghee - 1/2 cup
Cardamom - 4
Cashew Nuts - 7
Kismis - 7
Orange color - 1 Pinch
water - 2 cups
Procedure :
1. Roast the Rava in a pan with 1 tsp of Ghee and keep it aside.
2.Boil the water in a pan.Add a pinch of orange color to the water. Crush the cardamom and add it to the boiling water.
3. Then add the roasted Rava gradually to the boiling water. Keep on stiring while adding the rava to avoid lumps.
4.Once the rava is cooked well, then add sugar to it and let it cook for 10 minutes.
5. Take another small pan and heat the ghee. Once the ghee is hot , put the kismis and Cashew and fry it properly.
6. Add these fried Cahew,kismis and ghee to the Rava mixture and stir it.
7.Sweet Rava kesari is ready to be served.
